For centuries decorative nails have been used by artisans from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, both to secure leather to wood and also to create a pattern on large surfaces of trunks, chair backs or even headboards. Our designers found examples of this long-lived international tradition at the Museum of International Folk Art and translated it into ceramics. The result is stunning, The Nibiru Vase
